ABOUT THE ROLE

Giles Financial Consulting LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and growth-minded Junior Accountant to support our expanding portfolio of small business and fractional CFO clients.

This is NOT a “just enter transactions” bookkeeping role. We are looking for someone who understands that accounting tells a story — and that clean financials drive business decisions.

The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, comfortable with technology, and willing to learn across multiple industries including retail, construction, professional services, and e-commerce.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Accounting & Bookkeeping Support

▸ Categorize and reconcile bank and credit card transactions

▸ Assist with monthly close processes

▸ Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation

▸ Review invoices, receipts, and vendor payments for accuracy

▸ Assist with accounts payable and receivable management

▸ Identify discrepancies and escalate issues quickly

QuickBooks & Financial Review

▸ Work inside QuickBooks Online daily

▸ Match invoices to payments and supporting documentation

▸ Assist with cleanup projects and reconciliations

▸ Support preparation of Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports

▸ Maintain accuracy across client financial records

Administrative & Operational Support

▸ Assist with document collection from clients

▸ Maintain internal workflow tracking systems

▸ Communicate professionally with clients when needed

▸ Support special projects and operational tasks

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

▸ Experience with QuickBooks Online

▸ Basic understanding of accounting principles

▸ Strong attention to detail

▸ Ability to handle confidential financial information

▸ Reliable internet connection

▸ Comfortable working independently

Preferred:

▸ Bookkeeping experience in multiple industries

▸ Experience with Excel / Google Sheets

▸ Understanding of payroll basics

▸ Experience working with small businesses

▸ Associate's or Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance

▸ Experience in a consulting or multi-client environment
